Stores Assistant / Driver
Location: Stoke-on-Trent. ST6 4BF
Salary: £24,500 + Overtime (at time and a half)
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
The Role
As our Stores Assistant / Driver you will be responsible for booking customers equipment and stock in and out, prepare shipments and be responsible for warehouse and stores. You will also collect and deliver equipment from customers and suppliers.
Responsibilities include:
- Booking goods in and out
- Preparing goods for shipping
- Undertaking regular stock takes and updating stock records
- Collect and deliver goods from customers and suppliers when required
- Ensure that deliveries and collections are made on time
- Prepare delivery schedules and plan routes
- Be responsible for the company vehicle, making sure it is clean, fuelled and maintained
- Adhere to all health and safety requirements, wearing PPE as and when required
- Undertake training as and when required
Please Note: You will be required to work outside of normal working hours. Typically early starts and late finished can be common and overtime is paid at time and a half

- Be a confident Team Player
- Be professional at all times, through dress and behaviour
- Have previous experience in preparing shipments and working in a warehouse environment
- Be able to work unsupervised
- Have good communication skills
- Have a full driving with no more than 3 penalty points
- A good geographical knowledge of the Midlands and North West
- Excellent IT experience
- Demonstrate reliability, flexibility and dependability
