The Megger EVX100 Electric Vehicle Charge-Point Test Adaptor provides the user with all of the necessary functions that are needed for automated and manual testing of single and three-phase Mode 3 electric vehicle charge points. Designed for use with the Megger MFT-X1 Multifunction Tester, the combination of these two products offers a fully integrated solution that does not need interconnecting cables. The EVX100 is able to mount directly onto the MFT, and is directly controlled by it, which ensures faster, simpler, and more accurate testing. It also confirms to the user that the selected mode is the correct one for the test being performed, which helps minimise the risk of errors during testing.
In order to make testing more convenient for the user, the EVX100 offers automated testing which means that the user doesn’t have to cycle through a number of CP states each time a protective device is tripped. It is also powered by a high-capacity internal battery, which is able to be recharged quickly through a standard USB-C charging point. A Type-2 charger connector is supplied with the EVX100 Electric Vehicle Charge-Point Test Adaptor, which means that there is no need for various types of plugs and cables.
The EVX100 offers a complete solution for testing single and three-phase electric vehicle charge points up to 22kW, and automates the testing of IEC61851 and IEC62955 protective devices. In addition to this, the EVX will also identify PE issues through the MFT-X1 rather than the manual adaptor touch buttons. This is operated by the touch buttons on the MFT, and will warn the user of any issues.
Please note that the MFT is not included in this purchase and must be purchased separately.
Leveraging all of the testing capabilities from the MFT-X1, as well as the EVX100, offers an exceptionally simple and flexible solution for electricians who are working on both the incomer and load side of the EV charging station. An IP54 rating ensures that the instruments are able to be used in intense weather environments, which protects the investment from damage.
