Seaward Solar Survey 200R Irradiance Meter (396A914)
The Solar Survey 200R is a unique irradiance meter capable of measuring more than just light intensity. A built-in digital compass measures roof orientation, and a built-in digital inclinometer measures the roof pitch.
Suitable for both Solar Photovoltaic (solar PV) and Solar Thermal applications, the Solar Survey 200 measures irradiance up to 1250Wm-2 or BTU/hr/ftf2 via a micro-cell, meaning it acts as a solar cell and therefore offers a more relevant reading than other irradiance meters which use photo-diodes. In addition, the Solar Survey 200 also digitally measures ambient air and module temperature simulataneously.
All of the Solar Survey 200R (396A914) measurements are taken in real time, and a hold function enables the screen to be frozen so that results can be recorded.
The Solar Survey 200R has the added benefit of a large internal memory and real-time clock for data logging purposes. This allows for irradiance and temperature to be recorded at user-defined intervals over a number of hours or days, the collected data can then be downloaded to a PC for analysis of for inclusion in installation reports.
